Annapolis Highland Vineyard

We offer our customers guided Vineyard and Winery tours followed by a visit to our tasting bar where they can taste our products. We also offer vineyard scavenger/treasure hunts for groups of 10+. Participants follow clues and solve puzzles to reach the final destination where they will participate in a small grape stomp. Following the hunt participants are treated to a wine and food pairing session with our wines.

Bear River Vineyards

Steep south facing terraces in a hot sunny bowl contain four acres of vines planted in gravel/slate soil, creating a ‘Mosel’ terroir. This winery, constructed within a 19th century ‘Bank Barn,’ allows a gravity system of winemaking on three floors. Its wines, Reisling, Baco Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are 100% Estate grown and produced.

Sustainable renewable environmental systems are incorporated into the Winery with a 3kw solar powered electrical system and with biodiesel powered machinery and vehicles.

Demonstrations and tours are welcomed. June 1 – September 30. noon – 5:00pm (daily)

Blomidon Estate Winery

Blomidon Estate WineryBlomidon Estate Winery is a 10-hectare boutique winery located in the heart of the Annapolis Valley on land that slopes right down to the Minas Basin. Consequently, we have some of the best views of the Valley’s world famous tides. These tides also act as a temperature buffer that benefits our on-site vineyards. Started in 1986, we currently have plantings of Chardonnay, l’Acadie, Seyval Blanc and Baco Noir.

We are open year round and give tours and tastings to anyone interested who books ahead. We are a perfect picnic spot for those heading out to Scot’s Bay, Blomidon Park or the Look-Off. Our wines are sold primarily through our retail store but can also be found in select NSLC outlets, the Halifax Farmer’s Market, and some of Nova Scotia’s finest restaurants.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Domaine de Grand Pré

Now in its forth year, the new Domaine de Grand Pré has won prestigious national and international awards for its wines and continues to attract local clientele as well as visitors from the rest of Canada and international markets. Domaine de Grand Pré is also winner of the CRYSTAL TOURISM AWARD OF EXCELLENCY for Tourism Services 2002. David Lawrason, Editor in Chief Wine Access, wrote in his article “Nova Scotia Wine reaches a turning point” (issue June 2002) about Domaine de Grand Pré: This property near historic Wolfville is the barometer of the Nova Scotia wine industry.
