Antigonish Famers MarketBeginning over a decade ago, the Antigonish Farmers’ Market is a family-friendly market where people can come together to socialize, sell, shop and eat. The market supports small, local agricultural operations, home and professional bakers, jewellery makers, crafters and artists of all kinds. Our family of regular vendors has grown from a handful to as high as 60 depending on the season. At our market you will find a bounty of “Feel Good Food”, which includes a wide variety of locally grown and organic fruits and vegetables, organic meats, maple syrup, honey, preserves, wild mushrooms, heritage products, to whatever kind of mouth watering baked goods you could imagine.

Baddeck and Area Community Market

Baddeck Community MarketThe Baddeck and Area Community Market focuses on local sourcing and production for all our vendors. We’re delighted to include small- holding farmers, market gardeners, bakers, specialty food makers, and artisanal crafters. You can purchase chicken, fish, beef, fresh vegetables, plants, and herbs, sauces, jams, wild-flower honey, honey wine, breads, and beans, along with hand-crafted dishware, wood implements, photographs, and hand-made greeting cards. We have jewelers, and potters, and weavers demonstrating their craft. For snacking at the market, we offer fresh baking, Nova-Scotia-roasted coffee, and local sausage grilled on site.
The Market is a hive of activity on Wednesday afternoons, and is a great place to meet friends. Situated in downtown Baddeck, we look out directly onto the Bras d’Or. Even when you’re finished shopping, it’s a great place to be.

The vegetables, fruits and products sold at the market are truly local. The market offers freshly prepared food from a complete breakfast to snack items such as smoothies, fatayas, samosas and quality pastry and fudge. Beyond fruits and vegetables, our market also features local honey, fresh fish, crab and shrimp plus other food items, all offered by local vendors. All proceeds of your purchases go directly to local growers and vendors.

Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market

Halifax Seaport Farmers' MarketFounded in 1750, The Halifax Farmers’ Market Cooperative is the oldest continuously running farmers’ market in North America. The first market vendors were Acadian – the original European immigrants to the land. Currently, the market has over 200 vendors selling some of Nova Scotia’s best local products including fresh produce, maple products, crafts, flowers, cheeses, meats, baked goods, coffee and so much more!

The Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market moved to its new location on Halifax’s Waterfront during the summer of 2010 at Pier 20, the busiest tourist entry point in the province. It is the heart of the cultural, social and community centre that is emerging in the Halifax Seaport Development.

The new market includes store fronts selling cheese, gourmet chocolates and patisserie and fresh and cooked fish which are open six days a week. The main market is open 4 days a week (see hours below) and includes a Friday International Day with vendors selling prepared foods and crafts from all over the world.

Hubbards Farmers' MarketThe Hubbards Farmers’ Market is located in a beautiful old Barn in the middle of 6 acres of peaceful woodlands and fields. Enjoy strolling along the woodland paths, visit with friends or make new ones on the south side patio. Have coffee and treats and watch the kids playing in the big sandbox or have a game of horseshoes. Our vendors are from all points west and south of Halifax and Halifax too! Their high quality wares include organic vegetables and herbs, berries, jams, jellies and pickles, beef, lamb, chicken and eggs, wine, fresh and smoked fish, cheese, yogurt and gelato, wonderfully aromatic breads, spice mixes, cookies, cakes, pies, organic cupcakes, sausages and other treats for an impromptu picnic. Coffee figures large for morning rituals, and lattes, espresso and cappuccino are also on offer. Buy flowers for a friend or just for you, perennials, herbs, dog treats, baskets, quilts, bags, leather shoes and sandals, beautiful local photos, jewellery from beads and glass to silver and gold, and wonderful handmade soaps. Kentville Farmers’ Market

Kentville Farmers' MarketThe Kentville Farmers’ Market takes place from May to December in the historic town of Kentville in the heart of Kings County. The market runs rain or shine on Wednesdays from 10am – 2pm. We are the largest mid-week outdoor market in the Annapolis Valley, with 25-35 vendors offering a wide variety of local-only products.
At our market you’ll find fresh, local produce, artisan bakeries, delicious and ethic prepared foods to eat on-site or to take home, specialty crafts, NS wine, meats and eggs, flowers and plants, live music, children’s activities, and much much more!

2011 marks the 5th anniversary of the Kentville Farmers’ Market, and our projects include Apple Blossom Opening Day (May 25), Garden Day, vendor profiles, recipe give-aways, cooking demonstrations, a children’s art tent, community memberships, an annual fundraising dinner, and a messy, hilarious pie-eating contest!
