Twenty minutes outside of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia heading east on the Scenic Route 3 you’ll find Eel Lake Oyster Farm nestled in the clean water of Eel Lake, Ste. Anne du Ruisseau.

Each oyster sways comfortably back and forth in their floating habitat, over each wave as the tide flows in and out of this tidal lake.

Fox Hill Farm, a sixth generation family farm located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, is home to Fox Hill Cheese House. Located one hour from Halifax, we are surrounded by lush fields and apple orchards and spectacular view of the Minas Basin and Cape Blomidon.

Fox Hill Cheese House specializes in cheddar, plain and herbed havarti and Gouda, quark, a fresh German cheese, and fresh curds. Some of our most popular varieties include: Cranberry, Blueberry and Extra Old cheddar, Smoked, Jalapeno and Herb and Garlic Gouda, Fenugreek and Italian havarti. We also craft feta, Parmesran, a Parmesan style cheese, natural yogurt with no gelatin or modified cornstarch, and our newest product Gelato, an Italian homemade ice cream. Indian Point Marine Farms Ltd. has been producing rope-cultured mussels in the waters of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia since 1982. During that period we have developed a reputation for great quality and great taste. Our mussels are cleaned and graded in our federally inspected facility at scenic Indian Point Lunenburg Co., just 5 km from the town of Mahone Bay. On site we have a retail store where our mussels and now our farmed live scallops may be purchased. We are also members of the Halifax Brewery Farmers’ Market and can be found there every Saturday morning.

Our worker co-operative started in 1996 as Canada’s first certified Fair Trade coffee roaster. We believe in a community business model that puts “people and the planet before profits.” We import and sell high quality Fair Trade and organic coffee, tea, sugar and chocolate in our own coffeehouses and to many retail and foodservice businesses.

We have four coffeehouse locations in Nova Scotia, in Halifax on Spring Garden Road and Barrington Street, and in the Annapolis Valley in Wolfville and Grand Pré. Our roastery, chocolate shop and coffee museum are also found in Grand Pré.

Meadowbrook is the “Home of Jimmie Lamb Ham.” Come try the amazing flavour of our Omega-rich, antibiotic-free, all-natural pork. Grown on our farrow-to-finish hog farm with grain we grow. Our farm market retails the many fresh and processed products made in our provincially inspected facility. We proudly produce gluten-free sausages, no-salt-added sausages and many all-natural wood-smoked pork products. Our staff is happy to serve you the wonderful products they make, as well as more than 40 other products we carry from other Nova Scotia producers and Taste members.

From crisp Annapolis Valley apples to fresh sweet corn, we have the Valley’s finest selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables for you to enjoy. Our Tideview Vintage Cider revives a Nova Scotia cider tradition that goes back to the Acadian settlers of the 17th century. We have a seasonal agritourism program providing a day of family fun: join us at our interactive corn maze, family adventure area and u-pick pumpkins, apples and flowers. Come see the eagles on our historic nature trail, perfect for hiking year round.

Nestled in the Cobequid Mountains this log sugar camp and fully-licensed pancake house serves an incredible maple brunch all day: wholegrain buttermilk pancakes, waffles, baked eggs with maple ham, maple granola, local sausages, maple baked beans, organic coffee and maple desserts. Sugar Moon Farm, honoured with the 2002 TIANS Food & Beverage Award, is a working maple farm, continuing the springtime tradition of creating maple syrup over a wood-fired evaporator. Tour the sugar camp, hike the sugar woods, visit the maple store and ask about “Chef’s Night at Sugar Moon”, a gourmet maple dining experience featuring guest chefs.

Terra Beata is a cranberry grower and processor nestled next to the Atlantic Ocean near Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. While cranberries are our specialty, we use the best fruit Nova Scotia has to offer in our 10 gourmet preserves, our unique low-sugar flavour-packed dried cranberries, blueberries and cherries, our premium pure juices and our not-from-concentrate juice cocktails. You’ll find our products in all Sobeys Atlantic stores, most Co-op Atlantic stores, as well as many farm markets and specialty stores.
